BRI Park

BRI Park, also known as “Taman BRI” is an alternative tourism spot in Baubau that located near the downtown and seashore. It is a quite small park, but sea views, shady trees, and activities of the port Murhum look is the advantages offered by the park that we can enjoy.

This green garden is in around Letter Buton Street that can be used as a place to relax with beautiful natural shades. Many soothing sceneries here. It is the newly opened place as one of the theme parks in the city of Baubau, can also be used as a sport, either as individuals or with families. Unfortunately, we can’t find any food vendors here, so the people have to bring their own food or snack to eat while enjoying the beautiful sceneries.

Palagimata

Palagimata is one of the most interesting place in Baubau. It located on a hill near Baubau city. There are many interesting buildings in Palagimata, such as the major’s office, hospital, and dragon’s tail statue.

The major’s office, also known as “Kantor Walikota” is the biggest building there that people can see clearly from Baubau. There are some buildings near of it, such as a hall, a wide field, and also a big flagpole (there are so many small flagpole beside it). Because of the field is quite spacious, it is usually used for ceremonies in the national’s big day. The major’s office is a great place to enjoy the sunset at dusk.

Then, The hospital, also known as “Rumah Sakit Palagimata” is the largest hospital in Baubau. It’s quite far from the major’s office. It’s a shady place because there are so many trees around it.  Most of the citizen of Baubau come here to cure their illness.

Then, The dragon’s tail statue, also known as “Patung Ekor Naga” is the newest building in Palagimata. It’s located near the field. The people said that it is the continuation of the dragon’s head statue in Pantai Kamali. We can see Baubau city clearly from here.
